The energy was electric as we rose up the Neiman Marcus escalator. The music was beating, the lights were set and everyone was all a buzz, strolling lightly across the NM floors with champagne in hand and wondrous anticipation. Last night, February 11th, Neiman Marcus had their Spring 15 Trends Event. The seats were filled with some very fashionable local community, as well as some of the cities most powerful bloggers, fashion gurus and entertainment industry professionals.

Displayed at the event, were beautiful butterfly paintings by artist, Lucy Peveto, whose work is currently on display at the anArte Gallery here in San Antonio. Colorful canvases hung on the surrounding walls and were meant to represent the “uplifting moments and true transformations”  we human beings go through all throughout our lives. The largest of the collection served as the breathtaking backdrop for the runway, but you’ll have to checkout the videos to see that extraordinary piece.

What Spring trends are you most looking forward to?” I asked local supermodel, Anna Monette, “White!” she exclained. “Me too” I responded. I’m very much looking forward to a much lighter, brighter San Antonio fashion scene.

Xitlalt Herrera, PR for Neiman Marcus, MC’d the evening and gave quick intro-insights before each trend category. The models dawned beautifully styled looks and showcased Bohemian Soiree, Spice Market Colors, How To Mix (not match) Your Patterns, Monochromatic White and Enchanted Evening trends. Watch the highlights above and when you’re done, check out the entire fashion show for some Spring closet inspiration in the video below. HAPPY SPRING/SUMMER #STYLE LUSH COMMUNITY! (In the eyes of the Fashionista, we are always living forward)
