Ferrari of San Antonio Fashion Week South brings us yet another fabulous guest in their “An evening with” series.  Last Thursday, Cesar Galindo, nationally acclaimed fashion designer, joined the list of distinguished guests who are specially chosen and presented by Ceslie Armstrong, Executive Producer and Founder Fashion South Global.

In the spirit of true historical accuracy, the newly renovated St. Anthony Hotel, served as the venue for this incredible fashion event in Peacock Alley, the CZAR by Cesar Galindo Fall/Winter collection fashion show. Although to many, this may seem like a new venture for the hotel, in reality, this is a time honored tradition that used to take place at the hotel regularly during the glory days of Houston Street. As some of you may know, my grandfather was a local captain of industry here in San Antonio. He used to take my grandmother Downtown and to the St. Anthony regularly and so I grew up hearing the incredible tales of Downtown glamour and sophistication and ever since I was a child, I have longed for the revival of “that Downtown”. It was wonderful to see Fashion South Global and the hotel bringing this lifestyle back for a new generation.

Currently, it seems the hotel (and Downtown, San Antonio in general) are pioneering a revival of it’s glory days, the days of Frost Brothers and Shaw’s Jewelry, Joske’s and absolutely zero jeans (gasp!) at the Majestic. Yes, Houston Street, San Antonio, was a place to see and be seen and the St. Anthony was a premier destination for the local elite as well as visiting celebrities. Now, they and Fashion South Global pay tribute and begin a new generation of fashion lifestyle for our modern community. It’s incredibly exciting.

Watch our interview with the St. Anthony owners here and their words on how fashion played a vital role in the new renovations. In the episode above, catch the entire CZAR by Cesar Galindo Fall/Winter Collection and a few words of wisdom from the man himself. Style Lush TV managed to get Cesar in front of the camera, and you won’t believe the blunt fashion advice he dishes out! It was awesome.
