In yet another example of how our fashion industry is growing, we here in San Antonio, finally have a discount fabric warehouse! To creatives who have frequented the likes of a Michael Levine or any other discount fabric stores in larger markets, Fabrictopia SA is the parallel sister for us here in the South. This has everyone in our fashion community very excited.

Sitting at 11,400 Square Feet, this discount warehouse environment is a dream come true for our fashion community. Currently open, but preparing for its Grand Opening September 6th, this storefront is set to carry 65% apparel fabrics and already has supplies, findings and textiles that cater better to fashion professionals as opposed to “hobbiest” that may be content with a Jo-Ann Fabrics or Hancock Fabrics.

SLTV: Is Fabrictopia SA your only location?
RC: No, we also have locations in Dallas and Houston but saw San Antonio as a booming market that we wanted to tap into.

SLTV: What industry would you say Fabrictopia SA caters to?
RC: We specialize in multiple industries. With a goal of bringing on 65% apparel fabrics, we obviously cater to that. We also cater to the interior designer industry, the drag queen and pageant industry, party & events, the automotive upholstery industry, as well as quilters looking for unique cottons prints and fleeces.

SLTV: Are you excited for the Grand Opening?
STAFF: We are very excited. I love working in a fabric store. We are currently planning for a lot of inventory. In fact, see that storage area back there? (points to an empty room at the back of the warehouse whose doors are wide open) We actually may have to sacrifice that storage room for additional product space. Yea, we will have so much to offer.
