Our beautifully diverse city of San Antonio just got even more “inclusive” at the Marisol Deluna Foundation 1st Annual Community Fashion Show. It was held at the gorgeous San Antonio Garden Center and showcased a broad range of 40 Texas designers, artists and students. In the spirit of inclusion, the fashion show starred youth from the Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland, Alamo Heights Unified and One for Autism Academy participating under collaborative guidance of the Foundation’s Linda Luna Duffy Creative Hope Initiative.
In conjunction with this event, Marisol Deluna unveils her SA300 Official scarf, tie and Fiesta medal.
Every collection was different from the rest, expressing individuality, skill and diversity within our community. Seasoned designers displayed hand painted, hand dyed, and even screen printed styles. Featured designers included: Cynthia Anderson, Monika Astora, Anita Centero, Dahlyn Herold, Becky Heye, J’cil Horn, Dian Lamb, Cora Lane, Kathleen Lindeman, Yvette Little, Pat McCune, Rachel Edwards Ridder, Mackenzie Roberts, Milen Rodriguez, Joan Termini, & Quinton Warner.
