If you attended LOOK LOCAL NIGHT, chances are you stole a snapshot of fashion artist Fabian Alejandro Diaz, an internationally recognized, award winning artist specializing in costume design, wardrobe styling, mixed media art, painting, headpiece design, hair cuts and color, as well as makeup for women and men. This innovative San Antonio creative has fearlessly paved his career with his unique perspective and one-of-a-kind walking art for many years now. His work has been published internationally, seen on television, used in music videos, showcased in art exhibits and continues to grow organically by means of continual referrals from high profile professionals and fashion industry elite. Now, he is taking his business to the next level as he starts the next chapter of his creative venture. Ladies, and gentlemen, get to know, CASA DE OJOS .

The latest studio to hit The Parish, CASA DE OJOS will serve as a one-stop-shop for all of Diaz’s talents. You need a stylist? You got it. You need a makeup artist? You got it. You need a unique headpiece for a music video? Done. The list of his creatives services is vast, and finally, those who seek his aesthetic can not only hire the artist for professional projects, but also be swept away by the energy of his studio and neighboring colleagues of The Parish.

To catch you up, The Parish is a creative and artistic building with state of the art spaces used to fulfill the need for affordable multi-use studios. At The Parish you’ll find a vast array of creatives ranging from painters, fashion artists, photographers, videographers and vfx artists, all of whom are very respected in their fields. With incredible talent like Zachry Smith of KAZ Creations, Agosto Cuellar of Jive Refried and Kristel Puente  of KA Puente Photo (among so many others) it’s no wonder that CASA DE OJOS has joined this renegade of strong San Antonio talent.

The Grand Opening for CASA DE OJOS will be Friday July 13th, but we caught up with the rising star in the midst of preparation chaos to get a little inside story on the new venture and what’s to come.

SLTV: What is the mission of your new business?
FAD: I’ve always had a NEED to create. I hope to show everyone diversity through every single type of media I work with and lend my services to those seeking my aesthetic.

SLTV: Talk to us about the creative direction.
FAD: I love that I have now come to a point in my life where I can utilize every skill set that I attained.  With this last shoot, I colored my hair yellow, I did my own makeup, I hand painted the poncho that I designed and sewed. I painted the shoes I am wearing , along with styled the look with the accessories I made. CASA DE OJOS will be an extension of who I am as an artist.

SLTV: What do you hope to contribute to San Antonio (and the world) with your unique perspective?
FD: If anything, I hope that San Antonio can at least appreciate and accept things that are different. I hope people approach my studio with an open mind. I create out of a love and passion for all things artistic and creative.

SLTV: Any special events your involved in this year?
FAD: The grand opening for the parish is coming up July 13th, so that’s first on the priority list. I will also be one of the designers for the Fashionable Adoptions show in September. And hopefully more production work.

CASA DE OJOS is located at 1624 Buena Vista and will officially open July 13th! Stay tuned to Style Lush TV to learn more details. If you crave avant garde soul and artistic experiences that explore fashion in new ways, this grand opening will be an event to keep on your radar.

She began her career in Hollywood, California, where she worked for major record labels such as Virgin Records, Interscope Records, EMI Music and Capitol Records. Later after attaining her fashion degree, she was discovered by MySpace, Inc. and was immediately hired to be their Fashion Curator starring and producing her show THE B-SPOT Fashion & Trends on their Fashion & Shopping channel. During this time, online media was in its infancy. She and her colleagues pioneered and molded the online fashion media industry resulting in over 10 years of experience in fashion news and 20 years of experience in fashion video content. Many of the stylized ideas and tools that were launched through these platforms are still used to this day as industry standards for online fashion media. Later, with her extensive experience in developing online fashion media, she continued the show independently and has successfully rebranded THE B-SPOT into Style Lush TV online fashion network. Now, with over nine professional years in online fashion media and trend forecasting, she continues to pioneer, maneuver and develop her industry.
