We’ve leaked a bit here. We’ve leaked a bit there. Most recently we introduced you to CASA DE OJOS and now, we give you the full story. THE PARISH.
THE PARISH is a modernized multi-use art and creative space and is among the newest additions to the San Antonio creative community. The building known as THE PARISH is a beautiful, repurposed church originally home to a Spanish-Moorish style 2 story home constructed by William J. Edgar in 1911. Later, in 1951, it was partially leveled, under went many changes in the sixties and seventies and became the “Mexican Lutheran Church” seen today.
Now, with a fully renovated interior, 12 multi-use studios boast many of San Antonio’s top creatives, giving the city yet another amazing facility for creatives to utilize at an affordable cost. The artistic troupe of renegades that facilitate THE PARISH are a vast array of artists ranging from painters, fashion artists, makers, photographers, videographers and vfx artists. All creators and makers found at the parish are highly respected in their field and work many hours to bring their visions into reality.
Friday, July 13th, 7pm-Midnight, THE PARISH is set to have their Grand Opening Celebration. Come on out and enjoy local art, meet the evolving tenants of THE PARISH, take a look around the newly remodeled facility and enjoy complementary drinks provided by SEERSUCKER Gin, VIRUS Vodka and DORCOL Distillery. Remarks to occur at 8:30pm with complementary Hors D’Oeuvres provided by KAZ Creations and Smith Cater. Bring your friends to this free event and celebrate the continual evolution of our creative culture in San Antonio.
THE PARISH is located at 1624 Buena Vista St., San Antonio, TX 78207. For additional inquiries about THE PARISH, contact them at 210-598-0319, [email protected] and be sure to FOLLOW THEM at The Parish FB and @THEPARISHARTS Instagram.
