Community Choice Nominations season launched this past Sunday (July 1st) and there was no shortage of excitement! By midnight, July 1st, the site experienced excited activity as many attempted to register on the website early. By mid-day Sunday, the site was launched and within seconds (and before Style Lush TV could formally post promotion for it) the site ignited with celebratory activity. With thousands of submissions already in the queue, the San Antonio Fashion Awards will undoubtedly experience record breaking numbers and bring forth even more awareness about the San Antonio Fashion Community than last year.

The San Antonio Fashion Awards, now in its fourth year, will happen October 11th and aims to celebrate our entire fashion community with an emphasis on those whose excelled talents help propel our market into the next generation of excellence. Come ceremony night, the winners will be announced on stage at the premier red carpet event of the year and the winners will be awarded the Diamond Award of Excellence. While nomination season officially launched this past Sunday, actual voting season is set to begin September 1st and will consist of the following categories: Local Retailer of the Year, Make Up Innovator of the Year, Hair Innovator of the Year, Magazine of the Year, Fashion Blogger/Vlogger of the Year, Best Fashion Event of the Year, Model of the Year, Fashion Stylist of the Year, Fashion-Artist of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year, Streetwear Designer or Brand of the Year, Best Menswear Designer and Best Womanswear Designer. Once again, the San Antonio Fashion Awards has some special presentations and awards to be given that night, with details on these exciting partners and additions to be launched at a later time. This year’s beneficiary will be Project SMART 5013c in an attempt to keep art education alive for children in San Antonio.

Burgundy Woods has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music/Music Industries from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Design & Trend Forecasting degree from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. She began her career in Hollywood, California, where she worked for major record labels such as Virgin Records, Interscope Records, EMI Music and Capitol Records. Later after attaining her fashion degree, she was discovered by MySpace, Inc. and was immediately hired to be their Fashion Curator starring and producing her show THE B-SPOT Fashion & Trends on their Fashion & Shopping channel. During this time, online media was in its infancy. She and her colleagues contributed to the invention and molding of the online fashion media industry. Many of the stylized ideas and tools that were launched through these platforms are still used to this day as industry standards for online fashion media. Later, with her extensive experience in developing online fashion media, she continued the show independently and has successfully rebranded THE B-SPOT into Style Lush TV online fashion network. Now, with over nine professional years in online fashion media and trend forecasting, she continues to pioneer, maneuver and develop her industry. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Style Lush TV. She is also the President of the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative. The state's official non-profit for the positive growth of the Texas fashion industry.
