It’s no new concept that fashion shows have evolved from the traditional “model walks down the runway” production. In recent years we have seen people fall (on purpose), models break into dance, intense artistry with set design and the collaboration with technology as never seen before. Pushing for creative innovation, Balenciaga partnered with digital artist Jon Rafman to create one of the most visually inspired experiences of the season. Not only was the show pleasantly shocking to look at, the audience reported to have “truly felt transported into a different dimension”. By being seating inside a cylinder, surrounded by saturated digital art, patrons experienced spinning and flashing in every direction while the new Spring 19 Ready To Wear came waltzing down the runway.
