17 May Blogger Babes Expand Throughout Texas! Babechella is Taking Over!
There was a time when blogging was an isolated, underground form of expression that took the “long Facebook post” to a next level. As Fashion & Lifestyle gained more and more popularity, it made a huge impact on marketing strategies for brands worldwide. In the 2010 March issue of Vogue, Editor in Chief Anna Wintour featured style bloggers stating “We love as much coverage of fashion as possible. We don’t care at all where it comes from, and we embrace bloggers and video and social networking, and anyone that’s talking about fashion is a good thing.” Today, more than bloggers showcasing OOTDs, they are Digital Influencers and Social Media Marketers. A study by McKinsey found that “marketing-induced consumer-to-consumer word of mouth generates more than twice the sales of paid advertising.” And of those that were acquired through word-of-mouth had a 37 percent higher retention rate. So, yes, Influencer Marketing is the hottest form of advertisement and it’s here to stay.
Normally, Influencers tend to work alone but the need for community is very clear. In comes Blogger Babes Productions. Founded in November 2017 by bloggers, Shelby Soileau @styling.sunshine and Alison Barker @allthingsalison, out of Southern California, this is an entertainment company that houses communities of innovators who promote awareness through virally engaging marketing solutions. Connecting the Blogger community by fostering genuine relationships with each other and brands. Soileau launched the SoCal Blogger Babes first and has now expanded to Los Angeles, San Diego in California and now to Texas in San Antonio, Houston and Austin. Their main event is BabeChella, a Coachella event that brings together bloggers, influencers, brands and vendors, driving sales, social media exposure, and website traffic for their business, all while having a good time.
