The 2nd Annual Diamonds of Destiny Runway of Dreams is bringing inspiration in all forms of joy and style to San Antonio. The Runway of Dreams Fashion Show is set to happen August 9th at 5:30 pm at The Leon Valley Community Center. This fashion show features 15 Diamonds of Destiny members who are apart of the young adult IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) community. Each beautifully unique individual will showcase three outfits: Outfit of choice 90’style, favorite celebrity of the 90’s, and Formal wear. Models will be modeling dresses, suits, and Vera Bradley backpacks, Paparazzi jewelry and will be styled by Avant agency. All outfits are picked to embrace their individuality and to spread awareness of IDD.

This event is the culmination of months of hard work for founder Demi Jillian Cruz. Diamonds of Destiny (DODSA) is a local non-profit organization founded early 2018. She draws inspiration from her goddaughter who has down syndrome. She created this organization to help build a recreational facility where young adults with IDD disabilities are able to receive opportunities to safely enjoy an environment that meets their needs for socialization and growth.

“Throughout my life I have realized that life as a legal adult at 18 and into your 20’s play a pivotal role in growth and development of self.  You find out who you truly are, and what you are destined for. I want just that for my Inspirations of DODSA. They deserve to have the time of their lives in their 20’s and have fun in a safe setting with friends.”
