It’s that time of year again! Time to get in the best shape of your life for Red Carpet season with inBalance Studios! Planning is well under way for Fashion Week SATX and not only do we all want to look and feel our best in all the fabulous outfits, but we’re also going to need the stamina to run around the city for all the fabulous events! For this episode of “Road to the Red Carpet”, Hope is showing me how to use the Pilates Reformer. The Reformer is the piece of equipment or apparatus, created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. Even though it resembles somewhat a medieval torture device, it’s nothing more than a moving platform with pulleys that essentially aids and assists you in the movements. As a first timer, I was actually a little intimidated by it, but Hope’s guidance helped me through it and as I worked my way through a comfort level, I realized that truly anyone can do this. One of her regular Reformer students is over 80 years old! When it comes to fitness, Hope’s motto is “All levels. All the time. For every body. You don’t need to know “which class to start with” at inBalance because our classes are designed for EVERYONE and every level at every stage of life.” Check out the workout above and see how this first Reformer user did!
