“I am a fashion designer and activist. You all know what I’m up to, I use fashion as a vehicle for activism to stop climate change and mass extinction of life on earth.” Vivienne Westwood. Who in the fashion world does not know this pioneer? Known for shaping the style for modern punk and new wave music in the late 1970’s, Westwood rose to fame as she molded the Six Pistols signature style and brought this subculture to the forefront making it both accessible and elevated.

In true Vivienne Westwood fashion, the exhibition will meld fashion and art through the lens of activism. Curated by Laurie Ann Farrell and co-curated by Dallas Contemporary, the event is set to take place March 28th. Attendees will gain access to Westwood’s “Get a Life!”, and will also be invited to exercise their right to protest as well. The interactive opportunity will be a guided protest against climate change to honor Westwood’s legacy as an activist and strive to demonstrate the importance of the mission and the greater good it serves.

Guests will receive a custom-designed ceramic plate by artist Francesco Clemente and fabricated by Cerámica Suro in Guadalajara, Mexico, while other lucky patrons who purchase a $25K table, will be able own a signed piece from Westwood herself.

During this time, even more heavy hitter fashion creatives will be featured. Curated by executive director Peter Doroshenko and independent curator Dennis Freedman, patrons will have access to never before seen photography by Paolo Roversi’s that will highlight his 40 years of collaboration with Comme des Garçons. This show will be showcased in “a non-traditional installation” according to Dallas Contemporary and is entitled “Birds.”

Attire for the evening is  punk-chic, but make it sustainable.

Later, with her extensive experience in developing online fashion media, she continued the show independently and has successfully rebranded THE B-SPOT into Style Lush TV online fashion network. Now, with over eight professional years in online fashion media and trend forecasting, she continues to pioneer, maneuver and develop her industry.
