Music, fashion, beauty, what in the world can Rihanna not do? The singer turned boss lady is launching her own skincare line, marking this her second beauty venture. Fenty Skin follows the ethos of inclusivity and diversity of Rihanna’s makeup line, Fenty Beauty, with genderless products that are said to work on all skin types.

While the singer has been though several fashion deals throughout her career — including collaborations with Dior, Manolo Blahnik, Stance Socks, Puma and River Island — Rihanna’s solo strides in the fashion and beauty industries have been incredibly successful. Her first venture, Fenty Beauty, in 2017 proved Rihanna is a force to be reckoned with when she launched the line with an unprecedented 40-shade foundation range, setting the new standard of diversity and inclusivity. This shook the beauty world and opened the eyes of many beauty brands to follow in her footsteps. Rihanna’s other businesses, lingerie brand Savage x Fenty and fashion label Fenty, have also upheld these standards. When it came to what society defined as sexy, she broke the mold. She created a lingerie brand for all body types, making her a highly respected entrepreneur in the fashion space as well as a maverick among long-overlooked consumers. Most recently, Rihanna made history in 2019 when she launched her Fenty fashion label with LVMH, making her the first Black woman to head a brand, and its safe to say, this wasn’t enough for our girl RiRi. Now, she’s launched her beauty line, Fenty Skin, this year on July 31st, and we’re thrilled to see what’s in store.

Let’s get into what we know about Fenty Skin.
Beginning with their first launch of three products: Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum and Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum Sunscreen. These are meant to “brighten skin, snatch pores and target dark spots,” according to the brand’s Twitter. The Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser is made with Barbados cherry, ginkgo biloba, green tea, fig, and quince, which work together to control oil, clean the skin and fight against environmental aggressors. The Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum is a hybrid product made with niacinamide that is meant to reduce the appearance of dark spots, brighten, and even skin tone. The thick texture can be applied directly to the skin without a cotton pad. The Hydra Visor Invisible Moisturizer Sunscreen has a pinkish tone that’s said to not leave white residue on the skin. The product is made with Kalahari melon, which is meant to leave the skin hydrated.
