Although protests have slowly dissipated, the ongoing topic of social justice is still being nurtured today, especially amongst the fashion industry. On Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM, hear from a virtual live Zoom panel organized by HERdacity, which will include talks about diversity, inclusion, and representation featuring prominent members of the fashion industry.
The Color of Fashion panel discussion will foster the love, contribution, and belonging of Black Americans in the fashion industry. Although it may seem like a trendy wave to ride for some, these professionals will discuss the need for more opportunities and steer the conversation toward less casual microaggressions to more accountability, long term advancement, long term progress, social change, and True allyship. Women’s wear designer Sergio Hudson has designed for many celebrities including Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Tracee Ellis Ross, Regina King, Mary J. Blige, Taraji P. Hensen, Queen Latifah and not to mention The Kardashians and. Get an inside look into his industry experience as an African American designer and hear his thoughts on diversity and inclusion.
