Kathleen Day, founder and fashion artist at The Imaginarium Wonder Emporium is an internationally published multidisciplinary contemporary artist, model/actress, and author. She has been collecting vintage upcycled clothing and accessories with a more cirque theme since she was 17 years old and has always had an emotional connection to art and fashion with an avant-garde feel. With the evolution of The Imaginarium Wonder Emporium throughout the years, her team has expanded with her new fiancé Joe Gomez III as CFO and Laura Arellano as her resident in-house seamstress. Through this expansion, Day strives to support sustainability by using, reusing, and mixing her upcycled discoveries while introducing a new custom wear collection into the mix this year.
Their custom wear collection is entitled Cirque Couture. These conceptual designs by Day have been delicately sewn and constructed by her in-house seamstress Laura Arellano of Blue Betties Boutique. The designs are elaborately ruffled and rushed collars reminiscent of Victorian times and meant for the fashionably brave seeking a way to make a fashion statement. This full design collection will be released publicly April 1, 2021 on the shop website partnered with an additional short fashion film featuring the magical essence that The Imaginarium Wonder Emporium is known for.
